"Stagnant Female Participation" Thrive Outside, Outdoor Foundation 2021 Report Results.

Thrive outside released their report for last year on outdoor participation statistics that give us a ton of great information and insight on the areas we really need to focus our attentions into. Two key areas they identified that are experiencing downtrends in participation are youth and female groups. These two areas are a huge focus of our organization and this is a clear example of evidence of how much we need your support and why our mission matters.

STAGNANT FEMALE PARTICIPATION

Despite significant industry efforts to address gender disparities, for the last eight years females have represented just 46 percent of outdoor participants, even though 51 percent of Americans were female.
